Treat yo’ self: My Experience with Rodan + Fields
We all know how important it is for moms to take the time and pamper themselves and de-stress. After all, I’m pretty sure it’s all the time I spend stressing over my kids is what’s causing my gray hair and wrinkles!
While I leave my grays to the professionals, I decided that it was time to pick up an anti-aging treatment. Because that’s what you do when you hit 30, right?
As a stay-at-home mom, I like to do my research before purchasing a skin regiment. After all, we have a tight budget and I don’t want to throw money away on something that doesn’t work for me and my skin or have the affect I’m looking for.
After doing my online research and talking to my friends, I decided to take the plunge with Rodan + Fields. Of course, I still had a lot of questions, but my Rodan + Fields consultant, Tricia Eaton, was able to guide me through.
Before purchasing a skin regiment, Rodan + Fields has you take a quick, but thorough, quiz (and I mean quick, I was able to do it while my kids were awake and before they had a chance to destroy my house!)
The quiz asks you questions about your skin type and what kind of regiment you are looking for. Not only was I looking for an anti-aging treatment, but I wanted to do something about the damage I did to my skin while I worked as a lifeguard in Florida for eight years.
Thanks to the quiz, I found out that the regiment I was looking for was the Reverse. Reverse focuses not only on premature, but brown spots, dullness and discoloration from the sun.
I went over my results with Tricia, and she went ahead and ordered Reverse for me and told me to expect it in the mail. And I’m all about anything that doesn’t involve dragging my two kids to a department store! It was all handled through online shopping, my favorite.
I started my regime on April 26. With Reverse, it has you slowly ease into the routine by at first using it once every other day. I’m not going lie, I’m not the best at remembering to get up and do a skin care routine every morning, but with how quick and easy this is, it’s hard to forget!
While the four steps intimidated me at first, I found it’s easiest to work this in while my toddler is eating breakfast and I’m drinking my morning cup of green tea.
I’m only just over a week in, so there isn’t a huge difference in between the two pictures, but those close to me have noticed that my skin looks better!
I personally have noticed that my skin is smoother and much less red or “ruddy”. My favorite part of the regiment is the toner. Even after washing my face in the shower and exfoliating, I’m still lifting dirt off my face with the toner!
But like I said, I’m only 12 days in. I can’t wait to update you at the 30 day and 60 day mark!
If you are interested in trying Rodan + Fields, please don’t hesitate to contact Tricia with your questions! She’s been amazing to work with!
