Go PURPLE for Military Kids!

They say, “a solider doesn’t fight because he hates what’s in front of him, but because he loves what he left behind”.

All over the Hampton Roads area and the world, military children stand tall and support their parents who fight for all of us, while they try to just be a kid.

In this spirit, April is the Month of the Military Child because who deserves our support more than the kids that our troops are fighting for?

In an effort to recognize Virginia’s youngest heroes, the Virginia Department of Education is challenging residents to Purple Up to honor the over 70,000 military children who live in our great state.

So on Friday, April 21, don’t forget to don your purple!  And share with us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter your outfit and support for our military kids!
