Easter Treat: Peter Cotton Trail Mix

Easter is here!  And what is better than an Easter themed snack?

One of the best parts of becoming a Mom was the opportunity to carry snacks around with me.  I know, I know it sounds petty, but I was already a snack lover pre-kid, but carrying an entire bag full of snack as a 20-something year old adult-kind of made me look crazy.  But as soon as I had Lady A, my snack game was on!

First I told people, it was because I was breastfeeding and I needed the snacks and the calories to make milk.  Then, it was because she needed a snack when we were out and about around town.  So now, as a Mom, I get to carry an endless supply of snacks on me full-time and just blame my daughter.

And, as an avid snack lover, I love a good trail mix.  There is nothing like combining three or four of your favorite snacks together so you can gooble them all up at once.

So, when I saw the Annie’s Organic Graham Bunnies for Sale at Harris Teeter, I knew that I could make an amazing Trail Mix that my daughter would love and that I could snack on too.

Plus, since it was about to be Easter, I decided to be cheesy and call it “Peter Cotton Trail Mix”.  Aren’t I punny?

It was so good, I had to share it with y’all!  See the easy recipe below and let me know what you think!

What you need:

2 (two) Annie’s Bunny Grahams, Chocolate, Graham Snacks, 6 oz Bag (Pack of 9)

1 cup of Snyder’s of Hanover Pretzel Sticks – 16 oz

1/2 cup of Craisins Reduced Sugar Dried Cranberries, 5 Ounce

1/2 cup of M&M’s M&Ms Candy, W/Zipper On Bag, 19Oz., Milk Chocolate (24908)

Now this is so easy a toddler can do it.

Combine all the ingredients into a gallon Ziploc bag and Shake it!  Now, when I shake it, I prefer to do some dance moves, but that’s just me……..

Then, once everything is thoroughly shaken.  Enjoy!

This is a healthy-ish snack that the whole family will enjoy.  I left it out for our guest to eat while visiting and the adults and children loved it.
