Ants on a Log
Ants on a log is a fun and healthy snack you can enjoy with your child.
I personally wouldn’t consider this a recipe as much as it is a fun activity you can do with your toddler or preschool aged child.
What you’ll need is celery, peanut butter (sun butter or almond butter will work well too, depending on your preference) and raisins.
A parent will need to cut the celery into logs. I did ours in 2-3 inch pieces.
Then take the peanut butter and spread it on the “logs”. Your child can do this with a plastic spoon or knife.
Then have your child place the “ants” (raisins) on the log. We’re working on counting, so I sang “The ants go marching one by one” while we did this.
After your ants have been placed on the log, enjoy!
